1. Root canal treatment (RCT) & Cap

2. Wisdom tooth removal
These are the last teeth to erupt in the oral cavity at the age of around 18-25 years. We usually have 4 wisdom teeth, one in each quadrant. Being the last tooth of the quadrant, sometimes it doesn’t have the sufficient space to come out in the oral cavity as other teeth do. It gets LOCKED! We call the situation as IMPACTION OF WISDOM TOOTH.
It starts damaging the overlying gum, surrounding bone, adjacent teeth and sometimes the underlying structures. Moderate to severe pain, occasional blood or pus discharge, mild grade temperature, difficulty in swallowing, numbness of the region and so many others symptoms can be associated depending upon the severity of the condition. If left untreated, the severity of the suffering and the probability of the complication increase with passing episodes.
The only definitive treatment is to remove the concerned wisdom teeth. Removal of wisdom teeth doesn’t impair chewing or any related function rather it saves the adjacent teeth from getting decayed in future course of time.
A thorough investigation is performed prior to the procedure to ensure the proper risk assessment for the adjacent vital structures. The procedure is usually performed under local anaesthesia but in some cases general anaesthesia (in a nursing home set up) is also chosen.
The patient is usually asked to report for the follow-up on the 7th day. The cost ranges from Rs 8000-15000 depending upon the position of the tooth and the severity of the associated infection.
3. Extraction of non restorable teeth
WE DON’T PREFER TO EXTRACT ANY TOOTH if it is restorable by any of the modern dental treatments. But sometimes it is needed to do the same when the decay extends to a greater extent simply due to ignorance.
The area is made numb with the help of local anaesthetic injection/s. We at Dr. Bose’s Dental Clinic use a special type of injection needle to make the feeling less painful to you. Proper and gentle care combined with decades of experience make the entire extraction procedure absolutely atraumatic.
Issues of post extraction bleeding and swelling are specially taken care of.

4. Treating pain in and around face

The cause of pain may lie in the Temporomandibular joint (TMJ, a joint lying beneath the ears), facial muscles, some nerves, some sinuses (air filled cavity inside the facial bone), jaw bone and even from the ears.
